What Is an Assessment?

An Assessment is an activity or evaluation used to measure a learner’s understanding of each topic.

Assessments may be used to:

  • Evaluate prior knowledge before learning
  • Reinforce understanding during learning
  • Measure learning outcomes after completing lessons

Each course may have different formats and conditions. Please review the instructions carefully before starting.


Types of Assessments

Within AL-EEE, you may encounter several types of Assessments, such as:


Entry Assessment

A pre-learning assessment used to:

  • Evaluate prior knowledge
  • Analyze learner readiness
  • Recommend Focus Area / Review / Strong Area

Practice Quiz

Practice activities during learning used to:

  • Practice solving questions
  • Review understanding
  • Prepare for the Final Assessment

For Self-Paced Classes, Practice Quizzes can usually be repeated multiple times.


Final Assessment

A post-learning evaluation used to:

  • Measure understanding after completing the course
  • Evaluate overall learning outcomes

Some courses may include:

  • Time limits
  • Attempt limits
  • Passing criteria
  • Additional requirements before starting

How to Start an Assessment

1. Enter the Self-Paced Class

Select the Class you want to study from the Class List page.


2. Open the Assessment

Assessments may appear in:

  • The Dashboard
  • Inside a Lesson
  • The lesson summary page

3. Read the Instructions Before Starting

Before beginning, please check:

  • Number of questions
  • Time limit
  • Number of allowed attempts
  • Passing criteria (if applicable)
  • Additional instructions from the instructor

Some Assessment types may not allow restarting or going back once started.


4. Complete the Assessment Carefully

While completing the Assessment:

  • Read all questions carefully
  • Review your answers before submitting
  • Use a stable internet connection
  • Avoid closing the webpage during the Assessment

5. Submit the Assessment

After completing all questions:

  • Click Submit to send your answers
  • The system will save your assessment results

After submission:

  • Some Assessments may display results immediately
  • Others may require additional review by the instructor

What Happens After Completing an Assessment?

After completing an Assessment, the system may:

  • Update your score or Progress
  • Display assessment results
  • Update your Focus Area / Review / Strong Area
  • Recommend additional Lessons or topics to study

These results help learners identify areas for improvement and plan their learning more effectively.


If You Cannot Finish an Assessment

If issues occur during the Assessment, such as:

  • Internet disconnection
  • Accidentally closing the webpage
  • System freezing or slow loading

Please check the Assessment status again to Resume your progress from where you left off.
